Experts from Technik BG GmbH actively participated in the first Business Forum on Ukraine renewable gases
Experts from Technik BG GmbH actively participated in the first Business Forum on Ukraine renewable gases, where discussions centered around the production of biomethane in Ukraine and its export to the EU. Despite the current absence of a legislative framework for biomethane export from Ukraine, we see significant potential for development in this area in 2024. Negotiations were organized with major biomethane buyers, resulting in a preliminary agreement to sell 12 million cubic meters of bio CNG from Ukraine to the EU in 2024.

Yesterday, in Vienna, the first Business Forum on Ukraine's renewable gases took place within the framework of the Memorandum of Strategic Partnership between the European Union and Ukraine. The forum aimed to explore the potential of renewable gases, particularly green hydrogen and biomethane, in the Ukrainian market. Over 300 participants from various countries attended the event, underscoring the importance of collaboration in the renewable energy sector.

The agenda covered various aspects of the Ukrainian renewable gases market, including legal and political considerations, as well as ongoing projects. Distinguished speakers such as Vice-President of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič, EU Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson, and others highlighted the significance of the EU-Ukraine partnership in this field. Ukrainian officials also participated, presenting legislative frameworks and country plans in the renewable gases sector.

The forum served as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among business representatives and governmental bodies from different countries. This significant event underscored readiness for collaboration in the renewable energy sector, contributing to the sustainable development of both regions.
