We had the honor to attend the World Biogas EXPO 2024 Conference, which took place on July 10-11 in Birmingham, UK. This event has become an important platform for discussing new technologies and trends in the biogas market, as well as their transition from electricity production to the use of CNG (compressed natural gas) and LNG (liquefied natural gas).
At the conference, we had the opportunity to learn about the replacement of diesel and gasoline fuel with CNG and LNG, which is becoming increasingly popular due to its environmental and economic benefits. One of the key topics was the sale of methane, which can be used as a fuel for vehicles, and cooperation with ReFuels, the largest buyer who is ready to buy all the methane from Ukraine for its fueling stations in the UK.
The conference included numerous presentations from leading industry experts, including representatives of organizations such as the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) and the World Biogas Association (WBA). We had the opportunity to visit the stands of more than 150 companies that presented their products and innovative solutions in the field of biogas.
In addition to the main program, thematic sessions were organized to discuss decarbonization through anaerobic digestion and the integration of biogas into emission reduction strategies for municipalities.
The event was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, learn about new technologies and establish partnerships that will contribute to the further development of the biogas industry in Ukraine and the world.
